Concert season 2022/23
​
Dear website visitors, dear subscribers!
In addition to many concerts in the Konzerthaus Wien and the Musikverein Wien with the Wiener Symphoniker, I will also play numerous concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in the next concert season 2022/23 .
This is how I will cooperate with two new concert promoters:
with Jeunesse Austria and the concert hall MuTh Vienna . See for yourself in my calendar and if you are interested, make a note of the concert dates.

And something else is new: "Tango5", my new tango ensemble is born!
Our tango crossover ensemble will be in the new season within a few concerts to be experienced. Here's a little sample for you (:

In September I will start my professorship in violin as my main subject at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory .

Dear friends !
On March 21st, next Sunday at 8 p.m. there will be a beautiful chamber music concert with the E.Grieg violin sonata in C minor what was recorded in the Wiener Konzerthaus. The one and only Paul Rivinius on the piano and me on the violin! I would be very happy if you would "stop by" 🙂
Before that there will be a feature at 7pm about a sound adjustment of „my“ beautiful Stradivarius "ex-Rouse-Boughton", with which I played the concert and which is made available to me by the Austrian National Bank. My dear friend and master violin maker Marcel Richters is talking with me about this beautiful instrument and the „art to find the right sound“ !
Both contents will be broadcast on Sunday.

On September 2nd, the premiere of the documentary film "tonsüchtig" will be in Austria at the Stadtkino Wien.
From September 4th it can be seen in Austrian cinemas .
From November the film about the "Wiener Symphoniker" will also be shown in German cinemas.

"Waldseekonzerte" will take place again from July 19
Corona also mixed up a lot at our concerts at Waldsee . Outdoor events with up to 250 participants are now allowed again -
of course, in compliance with all safety rules.
Our Waldsee concerts can take place from the second half of July.
IMPORTANT: You can book all concerts that are still taking place. We treat the booking provisionally; If the event does not take place in the end, you will receive the contribution back immediately.

The Wiener Symphoniker resume their work! Finally it goes on again: on June 5th and 6th the concert hall will "reopen" after the long forced break caused by Corona. Under my direction, the Vienna Symphony will play the Holberg Suite by Grieg, Mozart's overture to "Der Schauspieldirektor" and the wonderful piano concerto by Mozart KV 414 in A major with the pianist Igor Levit.

May 8, 2020 will mark the 75th anniversary of the unconditional surrender of the German Wehrmacht. On this day, the Mauthausen Committee Austria is organizing the celebration of joy for the eighth time in memory of the victims and the joy of the liberation of the Nazi reign of terror. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reminding will take place virtually this year.
You can see it on May 8, 2020 at 6:05 p.m. as part of the virtual Festival of Joy on www.festderfreude.at and on ORF III.
The Festival of Joy takes place in close cooperation with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and with the support of the Israelite Cultural Community, the Memorial Service Association and the Documentation Archive of the Austrian Resistance.

Wir, die Wiener Symphoniker haben heute erfahren, dass Tonsüchtig, die Doku über das Innenleben des Orchesters, von 7. bis 24. Mai 2020 im Rahmen des DOK.fest München online gezeigt wird. Es findet also morgen die allererste öffentliche Ausstrahlung statt!

Die zuletzt für 3. Juni 2020 geplante Premiere mit Publikum und anschließendem Kinostart kann aufgrund der Veranstaltungsbeschränkungen natürlich leider nicht stattfinden. Sobald klar ist, wann die Kinos wieder öffnen dürfen, wird sich der Verleih nach einem Ersatztermin dafür umsehen.
